A Gloversville businessman was ordered to repay the U.S. government more than $150,000 Thursday after he admitted to overcharging the Department of Defense.
Everett Weber, 69 and former president, treasurer and co-owner of Rubin Gloves Inc., a glove manufacturer, overcharged the department $692,822 for leather hand wear he provided under a multiyear, $7.6 million contract, authorities said.
Weber of 35 East Boulevard will pay just $154,245 of the total because, unwittingly, he hadn't charged the government for expenses related to the contract.
