Homework for parents
The school year has just begun, but just like that, homework will begin flooding in. To help parents better understand their role, psychologist Marlo Archer of the Phoenix, Ariz., area, offers these five homework tips:
Remember, it's your children's homework, not yours.
Help them with study skills such as organizing their environment, having folders for assignments, breaking a report into sections, taking breaks and proofreading their work.
Make sure your child gets a break after school. He or she may need a little bit of downtime.
